Sony Xperia S and other hot new gadgets

Sony Xperia S

Sony has pulled the covers off its first handset since dropping the Ericsson from its name and introduced the Sony Xperia S. It's pulling out all the stops to impress too, with a speedy 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch HD resolution screen, 32GB on-board storage, a 12-megapixel camera and both 1080p (back) and 720p (front) HD recording capability.

Bang & Olufsen Beolit 12

The Beolit 12 is the first product to be released under Bang & Olufsen's B&O PLAY brand, aimed at producing more playful, portable products. Featuring Apple's AirPlay technology, you can play music from any iOS device, Mac or PC over a wireless network, and since it has its own built-in rechargeable battery lasting up to eight hours, it can be taken around the house or out.

LG Prada 3.0

It's been nearly five years since we first saw LG hook up with premium fashion brand Prada to produce a phone. It was a hugely successful tie-in, and after two popular handsets, they've come back for more with their first smartphone. The Prada Phone by LG 3.0 has a 4.3-inch screen and runs a heavily skinned Android Gingerbread OS, with stylish monotone menus and icons. Under the hood you can expect a 1GHz dual-core processor, eight-megapixel camera and 8MB of expandable on-board storage.

Padintosh

Apple fanboys rejoice - you can now give your newest Apple gadget a retro feel with this Macintosh 128K-inspired iPad 2 case. Clipping on to the back of your iPad, and compatible with Smart Covers, the Padintosh case takes us back to the days of floppy discs and long load times.

Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook

Dell has burst onto the growing Ultrabook scene with the XPS 13, a gorgeously skinny laptop coated in carbon fibre and aluminium. A super-slim bezel and edge-to-edge display means you get a 13.3-inch screen in a body you'd usually find housing an 11-inch product. It's also one of the first Ultrabooks to feature Intel Smart Connect technology, meaning it will periodically check for updates for your email, calendar and even your Twitter account, when it's not being used, so you're up to date the moment you open your laptop.

Griffin Twenty

Already spent a fortune on perfecting your home audio set up, before Apple's AirPlay launched? Griffin has created the perfect solution in its Twenty Audio Amplifier. It works with an Airport Express to capture the AirPlay stream from iTunes (or any other AirPlay enabled app), decodes it and sends the lossless, amplified sound through to your non-AirPlay 2.1 speaker setup.

Orange Tahiti

Orange has brought a number of great-value self-branded smartphones to market recently, and it's following this trend by releasing an Orange Android tablet to match. The seven-inch Orange Tahiti runs Android Honeycomb and offers a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, five-megapixel camera, lightweight design and both wi-fi and 3G connectivity.

Sony Cybershot DSC-TX200V

Sony's new flagship compact camera comes in the ultra-slim form of the TX200V, an 18.2-megapixel snapper offering 5x optical zoom and 1080p HD video at 60fps. It looks like a stylish camera. This little beauty is waterproof to 16ft and can brave freezing temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.

ZTE Tania

Chinese phone manufacturer ZTE has been the name behind a number of great budget handsets released, but usually with another company's branding. Now it's making moves of its own, with its first Windows Phone, the ZTE Tania, announced for the UK. It offers a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHz processor, five-megapixel camera and 4GB of internal storage.
