Verizon to introduce 16GB Galaxy Nexus by Samsung next month

According to reports, Verizon Wireless is planning to introduce the 16GB version of Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the United States in April month. Verizon’s roadmap document suggests that the company has scheduled to launch 16GB Galaxy Nexus on April 5. The Galaxy Nexus is the first phone to bring latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS and Verizon is currently offering the 32GB version for $299 with two year service agreement.

The main aim to slash the storage capacity of Galaxy Nexus is to cut price rate because many customers are not able to buy it due to high price-tag. On the other hand, sources say that the Galaxy Nexus with 16GB storage will be available to buy at $199.99; however, there is no official statement for the precise availability and pricing detail from the Verizon Wireless.

Those who think 16GB space is not enough storage for them, then the online retail hub, Amazon is also offering the original 32GB version of Galaxy Nexus for $99.99 via its wireless store with Verizon’s new two year contract. All reports and rumors are unofficial at the moment which means Verizon has still not specified when the 16GB edition will be available to buy and for what price.

Specifications

The Galaxy Nexus has a number of rich features and specs including a 4.65-ich Super AMOLED screen with 720 x 1280p resolution, 5-megapixel rear-face snapper, 1.3-MP front snapper for video calls, 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE connectivity.

Galaxy Pocket with 2.8-inch display, coming 'later this year'

Samsung announces cutesy Galaxy Pocket with 2.8-inch display, coming 'later this year'

Space will always have room for another galaxy, and your pocket should equally have room for this little piece of Android 2.3 TouchWizadry. The Galaxy Pocket has been announced and will arrive in the UK "later this year," bearing a 2.8-inch screen with a 240 x 320 (QVGA) resolution, an 800MHz processor, 3GB of expandable storage. That's an even smaller display than last year's crop of budget Androids, so hopefully this one will be priced accordingly.

Samsung confirms pink Galaxy Note coming soon

You can personalize your Galaxy Note by sketching with the 5.3-inch phablet's S Pen, but there's no better way to express your mobile-obsessed self than by dressing it in a flashy new color. Pink is the flavor of the month over at Samsung, which just gave a sneak peek at its rosy Android hybrid at CeBIT booth in beautiful Hannover, Germany. The sample on hand is of the shell-only variety, in that it doesn't include any internals, but looks pretty juicy even in its static state. The device is virtually identical to its blue and white counterparts, though its backplate is textured like that of the blue model, rather than the glossy rear you'll see on the white. It is expected to land (in Germany, at least) within the next two months.

Samsung Galaxy Player 70 Plus : World's first dual-core

Samsung Galaxy Player 70 Plus is the world's first dual-core media player.

The Galaxy Player 70 Plus appears to be a powered-up version of its 5-inch device from last year, side-stepping the design tweaks we saw last week on the Galaxy S WiFi 4.2 -- the other new (similarly long-winded) Android PMP from Samsung. Alongside a dual-core 1GHz processor, other hardware improvements include a (Korea-only) DMB TV tuner, 5-megapixel camera and a 2,500mAh battery to keep that expansive screen running for longer. The media player will arrive in both 16GB and 32GB capacities, although there's no news just yet on whether the wider world will get to wrap their hands around that substantial 5-inch screen.
